Here at TRIBUS, we want to make sure you can communicate with your contacts and leads easily, securely, and confidently. One way we do this is by authenticating your email or domain to securely send through our email systems. There are various ways for an agent to acquire an email address (Brokerage provided, Third-Party Email, Custom Domain Email). Learn more about each type below. Please contact HelpDesk@Tribusgroup.com if you have any questions concerning your email accounts.

Brokerage Provided Email

A brokerage provided email is an email address provided to you by your brokerage. These email accounts have already been authenticated at the domain level. By default, this type of email account is authorized to send from within our MyTribus Blast Marketing and Flex Mail services without issue. No action is needed on your part, and you can begin utilizing the Blast Marketing and Flex Mail (if applicable) systems immediately.

Pros:

  • Ability to send emails immediately
  • Recognizable name (Leads/Contacts will recognize your brokerage)
  • Provided to you by your brokerage

Cons:

  • Non-personalized domain

3rd-Party Email Addresses

Third Party email addresses are often free, easy to set up, but can be limiting in the personalization options. These email addresses come from locations like Google, Apple iCloud, Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, etc. These emails provide a quick, simple, and straightforward approach to sending 1-1 and direct emails. With limited spam features, send ability, and limited storage space, third-party email domains are the entry-level way to communicate via email. However, these email domains do not offer the same levels of customization and you will increase your risk running into spam issues.

Pros:

  • Free to use with limited storage capabilities
  • Easy to setup

Cons:

  • Increased risk of being blocked
  • Displays "Sent From:" and does not display your actual email
  • Highly susceptible to spam/dangerous email

Custom Domain Email

Custom domain email addresses utilize a custom domain you would use for your website. This type of email allows you to not only brand your email but have far more control over it. Most Custom Domain Email addresses are powered by services like Google’s Workplace, Microsoft Office 365, or another hosting service. These services charge a monthly/yearly fee to maintain the storage components and domain hosting.

Pros:

  • Highly Brandable
  • Full Control
  • Recognizable name

Cons:

  • Annual fees to maintain
